Elliot Page is opening up about an open relationship … or at least what sounds like one, anyway. Per Peoplehe wrote in his forthcoming memoir Pageboy that he had a romance with Kate Mara while she was courting Max Minghella. (Before you worry that Mara will be blindsided by this revelation, Page says she’s still close to Mara, who read her book. They’re also set to appear together in a Pageboy event next week.) According to Page, Mara told Minghella that she realized she could fall in love with two people, and Minghella supported her exploration of her feelings for Page. The relationship developed before Page came out publicly as trans in 2020. At the time, Page was filming 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. “It was right after I came out as gay and it was a time of exploration and also heartbreak,” Page recalled. “I think my relationship, or whatever you want to call it with Kate, pretty much encapsulates a certain dynamic where I always find myself, falling for people who – I think a lot of us are makes it — that’s not fully available. And kind of survive those and the highs and the lows and the serotonin bump, and then it goes away.” You can get your hands on it Pageboy‘s pages and learn more when it’s released on June 6.
