Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, was recently heard on recorded audio lashing out at one of her staff members in a rude tirade in which she said she and another staff member have no brains and “f – -k- ups.”
Jackson Lee, a congresswoman endorsed by Hillary Clinton who built a reputation in Washington as one of the “worst” members of Congress, has represented the same district of Houston, Texas in the House of Representatives for over 28 years.
In March, Jackson Lee threw his name in the running to become mayor of Houston in an off-year election, which if elected, would end his time in Congress.

In captured audio via Texas newspaper Current Revolt and published Saturday Jackson Lee was heard talking to a male staff member when he asked, “You took a piece of paper from that woman about something that belongs said Duncantell. Where was it? What date was it?”
The man responded by telling the deputy that he gave the piece of paper to Jerome, who took it upstairs. The staff told Jackson Lee that he had to call Jerome, before he was cut off.
“I don’t want you to do it [expletive] thing,” he said. “I want you to have one [expletive] brain. I want you to read it. I want you to say, ‘Congresswoman, it was such and such a date. That’s what I want. That’s the kind of staff I want to have.”

Jackson Lee continues to hurl profanity at the staffer as he berates her for how he expects his staff to handle calendar events, especially those from Ovide Duncantell, founder of the Black Heritage Society, Inc.
Instead of pawning it off on others, the congressman said he needs anyone who gets information about the event to know when and where the event is being held.
But in this case, the staffer made the audio sound like he gave it to another staffer.

“When I called Jerome, he was just sitting there looking fat [expletive]just talking about what is [expletive] he doesn’t know,” he said. “Both of y’all are [expletive]-ups…This is the worst [expletive] that I can put together. Two [expletive] big [expletive] children. [expletive] idiots Serve no [expletive] purpose.
“No one respects him, no one gives [expletive] about what you do. And you don’t [expletive]. And this is an example of it. I gave it to Jerome. This is not the work of a child, ok,” said Jackson Lee.
The congresswoman did not immediately respond to Fox News’ questions about the recording.

This is not the first time Jackson Lee has fired staff. In fact, in 2011, a Daily Caller report cited several former staff members who said he used abusive language and name-calling when addressing them.
He was also accused of forcing his men to work long hours, even into the early hours of the morning, and asking them to take him wherever he went no matter how short the distance.
Jackson Lee was forced to resign as chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) in 2019 following a lawsuit by a former employee who claimed she was fired in retaliation for planned legal action related to an alleged 2015 rape. a supervisor.
According to The New York Times, which first reported Jackson Lee’s plans to resign, CBCF board members told Jackson Lee to step down as chairwoman or face a removal vote after the lawsuit became public on a week before this.
In the lawsuit, the unnamed former employee alleged that she was raped while a CBCF intern by the foundation’s internship program coordinator and her supervisor at the time. Two years later, he was hired to work for Jackson Lee, who had recently been made chairman of CBCF’s board of directors. Shortly after he was hired, Doe said Jackson Lee received a text message from CBCF’s chief executive at the time, A. Shaunise Washington.

“I just received a notification that you have a new staffer,” Washington allegedly messaged Jackson Lee, mentioning the staffer’s name. “Call me, I have a background on him.”
The staffer said she was fired in March 2018, about two weeks after she told Jackson’s chief of staff, Glenn Rushing, that she “recently learned more about her case involving Mr. Jones and CBCF and plans to move forward with legal action” against the foundation.
The lawsuit was dismissed in 2020.
