What’s with fur, black and white, and going to the Met Gala altogether? Rihanna, I really hope so. On Saturday, the woman whose dress we all expect to ooh and aah over offered a not-so-subtle hint that he’ll be hitting the Met steps on Monday.
Rihanna arrives at New York restaurant Caviar Russe in a fur-covered getup from Chanel’s fall 1994 ready-to-wear collection, suggesting she’s not one of those with reservations about this year’s Karl Lagerfeld theme. The ensemble included a fuzzy white minidress, a small but powerful jacket, ridiculously oversize Chanel-logo sunglasses, and a matching hat that I sincerely hope she plans to wear again for King Charles’ coronation. I don’t know about you, but this is all I want to see on the Met Gala red carpet. This is fun. This is ridiculous. It’s a high-fashion boa feel.
Rihanna posted photos of the outfit with the caption “Not even Monday.” Hmm, what might Monday bring, I wonder? Anything to do with the news 3 am fits Did Rihanna have a baby last Saturday night? Rihanna, your weeknight plans are ultimately your own business, but, um, see you soon!
