VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – As Something in the Water drew to a close, the final piece of the puzzle fell on Wednesday morning – who was performing and when.
“Finally, that was my first reaction,” said festival goer Gabe Niles.
Even people are excited to see the play-by-play dropsmany fans were concerned after seeing overlapping time with their favorite artists, especially in the two-stage set up this year.
“They have to face the burden of having to make that decision, to choose between Katryanada and the Jonas brothers. That’s devastating, I feel so sorry for them,” said Niles.
Another concern of festival dwellers? The rain
The first day of festivities was supposed to be met with a downpour, with some even changing their planned clothes.
“I ordered everything for this festival that I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to wear, so it’s probably going to be a hoodie vibe,” one fan said.
The festival will also have multiple community stages for upcoming artists.
One of those artists is 14-year-old Kelisea Hamlett, straight out of the Hamptons.
He plans to perform an original song on the 24th Street community stage, Love at First Site.
He gave 10 On Your Side a sneak peek of his song, Cash Flow.
The Solar stage is on Third Street while the Lunar stage is on Eleventh Street.
