How many days ago a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive the player named sp1cay was playing with some friends when, after a quick sprint and throwing a grenade, they pulled out their AWP sniper rifle and fired a shot.
That shot continued past the initial target—a handy self shot—and straight into the dude behind them. Then the dude in the back they. And so on five dead bodies are on the ground.
There is a term Counter-Strike called ‘Ace’, and like aerial combat in the real world, it is used when a player can eliminate five opponents (which in Counter-Strike also happens to be a whole team). This is a rare achievement, and applies as long as a player kills all five enemies on their own, regardless of time or ammo spent.
To manage it in a single shot is … holy shit. Probably the man responsible—quickly became a Counter-Strike celebrity—”doesn’t want anything at all, just so people can watch his entire YouTube clip”, so without hesitation:
“I never seen this before so I think it is rare?”, he says on YouTube. “Nuncertain! hope everyone enjoys 🙂 “. Since exploding earlier, sp1cay’s YouTube comments have been flooded with praise such as:
That was a once in a lifetime shot. Insanely unreal. Grats.
This is the craziest thing of all people. Valve should promote it
Amazing moment in gaming history. Someone sent this to geoff to make sure it’s in the game awards highlights
I don’t know if I will see anything like this again in my life
That’s fuckin rad dude. I have never seen a shot like that in the history of CS
nothing will be hit like this again
Something to definitely tell your kids – because I do. Once in a lifetime thing for sure.
I don’t even play the game but I know it’s awesome!
I think most of us are the latter people today.
