The lush, wandering DiVine was recently spotted flaunting a new spring look – decked out from head to toe in blooming flowers. Colors of amber, azure, lavender, crimson, magenta, alabaster and daffodil adorn the stilt-walking spirit that blends into the environment and welcomes visitors for unique photo ops.
A “DiVine” Springtime at Animal Kingdom
DiVine disappeared from the park for a long time during the COVID-19 pandemic, but reappeared in November 2021. He can often be found wandering around the plants and trees between Africa and Asia (sometimes in the Oasis) between 8:45 am and 1:45 pm
It’s so easy to walk right up to DiVine without realizing that visitors sometimes have a hard time finding him when he’s completely obscured by the surrounding flora.

The arbored DiVine clings to bamboo while posing for passers-by. Any guest who takes the time to find him usually has a good chance for a friendly character interaction and photographs.

The 25th Anniversary has arrived

It’s an exciting time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as festivities begin for the upcoming Earth Day and the 25th anniversary of the park itself. Starting today, rare Disney characters join the Adventure Flotilla that traverses the waterways surrounding Discovery Island. Koda and Kenai from “Brother Bear” appear, greeting the guests as they float away.
Across from Pizzafari on Discovery Island, Tinker Bell, Fawn, King Louis, and Baloo also began meeting and greeting guests today.
Animal Kingdom’s 25th anniversary collection will be released at Island Mercantile, Discovery Trading Company, and Mombasa Marketplace on Earth Day, April 22. This is also the day the park had its grand opening in 1998. The variety includes products include the Spirit Jersey, tumbler, pocket tee, and button-up shirt.
Disney PhotoPass will offer both Earth Month and 25th anniversary photo ops around Animal Kingdom starting today. This includes special props, Magic Shots, and more. Another highly anticipated photo op — the Moana meet and greet — will begin on April 22.

From April 16 to April 23, Wilderness Explorers have a chance to earn a special badge by completing a limited-time nature challenge. More information is available at any of the Wilderness Explorer locations.
Even the Muppets join in the festivities, with Kermit and Animal taking their own nocturnal excursion to Pandora, the Festival of the Lion King, and Expedition Everest:
Be sure to check out some of the drink and food specials available throughout the park today. More to come in the coming weeks:
