Boxing’s stacked lightweight division gave the world another classic fight on Saturday with Devin Haney coming out on top in a close battle with Vasiliy Lomachenko. Haney retained the undisputed lightweight championship even though the fans in attendance saw the fight differently.
Haney heard boos at the MGM Grand Garden Arena after announcing his unanimous decision victory over Lomachenko. The judges scored it 116-112, 115-113 and 115-113 for the undefeated Haney. Yahoo Sports’ Kevin Iole scores it 116-112 for Lomachenko.
