Snapshots are one of the most anticipated Minecraft updates because they have features that show the theme of the next major update. However, the releases for April Fools are a little different. They include some of the weirdest features ever announced that won’t be added to the game, and this year’s snapshot includes a Moon dimension.

The latest April Fool’s snapshot, version 23w13a_or_b, is titled the Voting Update because it allows players to decide which features to implement. Random proposals will appear in the chat window, and they can respond to the voting screen by pressing “V” on their keyboards. If they vote for a certain feature, it will soon be implemented in the Minecraft world.

Minecraft April Fools Snapshot: What is the dimension of the Moon and steps to get it

The dimensions make the world more diverse because it allows the possibility to explore areas that are not like the realistic Overworld. The game only has three, but this snapshot adds another.

Day and night cycles occur in Minecraft, and at night, players can go to the moon and explore a new dimension. This creation will look very similar to the End because the endless terrain is monotonous and consists of one block.

Another reason is The dimension of the moon resembles the End so numerous that natural satellites are made up of blocks of cheese that look like end rocks.

How to get to the moon in Minecraft

Accessing the Moon dimension requires voting for three specific proposals. But since new ones appear randomly and independently, it can take a lot of time to find the ones that allow players to reach the moon.

1) The happy way

Fortunately, there is a way to get to the moon in minutes. Here are the detailed steps to access it in Creative mode:

Step 1: Approve air blocks with this command: “/vote rule minecraft: air_blocks approve”

Step 2: Get lots of air blocks with “/give player name minecraft:air_block 64″ command.

Step 3: Find a cow or summon one with the “/summon minecraft:cow” command.

Step 4: Fill the air blocks in the cow by right-clicking on it. It will turn into a balloon cow, and when it stops growing, right clicking on it will let you ride it.

The balloon cow will begin to float upwards and explode after almost reaching Y 700. Then, after a few seconds, you will land on the moon.

2) The easiest way

You can put air into a cow to climb to Y level 700 and reach the moon or you can type a teleport command in the chat window. The command to do this is “/execute as @s in minecraft:the_moon run tp @s ~ ~ ~”
