TRON Lightcycle / Run soft opening previews at the Magic Kingdom have extended running hours today. Previously, virtual queue and Individual Lightning Lane access for this attraction was available from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Disney has moved the closing time to 7:30 pm for today.
This extension allows more visitors to experience the attraction; however, it will still be closed before sunset. Visitors have to wait a little longer to enjoy the TRON Lightcycle / Run ride after dark.
If you haven’t had a chance yet, be sure to check out our full point-of-view (POV) video of the ride! If you prefer a text version, you can check out our photo tour here.
TRON Lightcycle / Run Soft Opening
TRON Lightcycle / Run began its soft opening with limited guest capacity on March 20, 2023. The attraction officially opens on April 4, but guests can try riding the Magic Kingdom’s newest coaster early by virtual queue booking or purchased Individual Lightning Lane pass . A traditional standby line is not available.
If you need a little help getting set up with Individual Lightning Lane access, check out our full guide. We also have information on how to sign up for the TRON Lightcycle / Run virtual queue.
The ride is one of many additions planned for Disney properties, and one of the company’s top executives, Josh D’Amaro, recently made a statement saying it was “just the end of the iceberg.”
Energy Bytes
Tomorrowland also received a new food stand for the opening of the TRON Lightcycle / Run. Energy Bytes is located just outside the new queue entrance and features several new flavors for the Magic Kingdom.
