If you’re freaking out that the “Love Is Blind” reunion isn’t loading for you — don’t worry, you’re not alone.
The first-ever live reunion of the Netflix reality show is meant to begin at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT. Minutes passed — and nothing. At 8:02 pm ET, Netflix posted in a since-deleted tweet that “Love is … late #LoveIsBlindLIVE will work in 15 minutes!”
As the delay continues, Netflix teased that the event will be “worth the wait” with a photo of Irina in her reunion gown.
What was supposed to be a live reunion ended up being a pre-recorded event, with Netflix posting a filming updates on Twitter at 9:29 pm ET. and apologized that the “Love Is Blind” reunion “didn’t go as we planned.”
Some Netflix subscribers were able to stream the event after 9 pm ET, while others continued to experience technical problems, as Twitter users expressed.
Netflix tweeted at 1:40 am ET on April 17 that the reunion will be “available globally at 12pm PT on April 17. Promise.”
Hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, all five couples from the show’s dramatic fourth season — Brett Brown and Tiffany Pennywell, Zack Goytowski and Bliss Poureetezadi, Chelsea Griffin and Kwame Appiah, Marshall Glaze and Jackie Bonds and Paul Peden and Micah Lussier — are scheduled to be at the event. However, Jackie ended up not attending the reunion.
Amidst the chaos, loyal fans of “Love Is Blind” turned to Twitter to commiserate, find some answers and, of course, express their feelings through memes. Brands also got in on the act, by tweeting sentiments of sympathy and witty responses to enter the conversation.

As the minutes ticked by, the phrase “come together!” started trending on Twitter, a strong conversation directed at the tech company, and the hashtag #LoveIsBlindLIVE rose to the top trending spot on Twitter in the US
The delayed reunion led to, as a Twitter user characterized it, a “collective internet meltdown.”
Another user compared the delay to Jackie failing to show up for her show-appropriate wedding dress.
While in the live event’s waiting room, people compared it to the suspense of joining a Zoom happy hour during COVID-19.
How can Netflix fix the problem? Commenters offer (hilarious) suggestions. Writer Hunter Harris joked that the Netflix show would “put rice in it,” a common remedy for fixing wet phones.
Many on Twitter called for Netflix not to raise prices or restrict password sharing after the mishap, with one commenting, “@netflix don’t ever increase prices ever again.”
The technical difficulties reminded viewers of Brett Brown’s sartorial woes in the finale, as he struggled to adjust his suit.
Rep. suggested. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York asked Netflix executives to call Lucia, the seamstress who helped tailor Brett’s suit before his wedding.
Over time, Brett, a fan favorite, became the unofficial mascot of the delayed reunion.
Other pop culture moments, such as Gwyneth Paltrow’s ski trial, have been invoked.
Some have also compared the internet’s shared stress to the day Ticketmaster crashed due to demand for Taylor Swift concert tickets.
Other media brands chimed in during the delay, such as Blockbuster, which shared a callback to the good old days of VHS.
Hulu appeared to comment on Netflix’s delay by sharing a simple meme — Kerry Washington’s character on “Little Fires Everywhere” giving a seemingly judgmental “hmm.”
Meanwhile, Bravo, which recently filmed a “confrontational” reunion for Season 10 of “Vanderpump Rules,” tweeted “We would never keep you waiting for a Reunion.”
Hey! Entertainment also sounded, writing“We’re never #LateFromE…we’re always #LiveFromE.”
The accident made people wonder just how far streaming has come.
“The internet is coming together to s–t talk about a global streaming giant that single-handedly put a dent in linear TV, only to fail at making linear TV their own with a massively promoted tentpole event? Nature heals #LoveIsBlindLIVE”, one The Twitter user wrote.

Fans weren’t the only ones reacting to the delay. Former and current cast members of “Love Is Blind” share their reactions to the moment.
Marshall Glaze, a cast member this season, shared a meme of a man staring at a wall of wires. “I’m trying yall,” he captioned it.
In his Instagram story, Brown joined in the fun and said the delay was from him “(running) to fix (his) pants.”
Why is the reunion delayed? Vanessa Lachey answered
At 8:15 pm, Vanessa Lachey posted a video on Instagram from the studio where the cast and audience, made up of past cast members, had gathered.
“Looks like we broke the internet! Thank you so much for your focus and patience! We’re here and ready,” he wrote on caption.
Vanessa Lachey indicated that the reunion was delayed due to the large audience. “I guess we broke the audience to see this reunion,” he said in the video.
At the time, he said the reunion wouldn’t go ahead until the technical problems were resolved: “We’re not asking anybody any questions until we’re streaming live in your living rooms, on your phones, on your tablets. will save all the tea for you. Don’t turn the channel. Don’t stream something else. We’re coming for you.”
